We want you to love your purchase from VastuShashtra.com. This policy explains how cancellations, returns/exchanges, and refunds work. It applies to purchases made on our website and processed via trusted third-party payment gateways.

2) Order Cancellation

  • Before dispatch: You may cancel for a full refund. Write to info@vastushastra.shop with your Order ID.
  • After dispatch: Cancellation is not guaranteed. You may refuse delivery or submit a return/exchange request within the return window.
  • Auto-cancellation: We may cancel orders for stock, address, payment, or verification issues and issue a refund where applicable.

3) Returns & Exchanges – Eligibility

To be eligible, items must be:

  • Unused, unwashed, and in original condition with all labels/tags, accessories, manuals, and original packaging intact.
  • Returned within 7 days of delivery (proof of delivery date may be required).

Non-returnable (except if defective or wrong item sent):

  • Customized/personalized items (e.g., engraved, made-to-order).
  • Consumables, opened inner-seal products, incense or oils once unsealed/used.
  • Items marked “Final Sale” or “Non-returnable” on the product page.
  • Spiritual/ritual items once energized/pran-pratishtha or used in rituals.
  • Damage due to misuse, neglect, or improper installation/storage by customer.

4) How to Start a Return/Exchange

  1. Notify us: Email info@vastushastra.shop within the return window with:
    • Your Order ID and item name/SKU.
    • Reason for return/exchange.
    • Clear photos/videos of the item and packaging (and unboxing video if damaged/defective).
  2. Approval & pickup/self-ship: We’ll confirm eligibility and:
    • Arrange a pickup where serviceable; or
    • Ask you to self-ship to our return address with a trackable courier. Keep the receipt.
  3. Packing: Place the item in original packaging with all accessories and a copy of the invoice.
  4. Quality Check (QC): On receipt, our team inspects the item. If approved, we process a refund or exchange as requested.

5) Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Item Received

  • Report within 48 hours of delivery with photos/video (preferably an unboxing video showing the issue clearly).
  • If confirmed, we’ll offer a free replacement, repair, or full refund. For non-serviceable pickup locations, we will reimburse reasonable return shipping if pre-approved.

6) Return Shipping Costs

  • Our error (damaged, defective, wrong item): We bear pickup costs. If you self-ship with our approval, we reimburse courier charges (submit receipt) as per actuals or a reasonable cap.
  • Customer remorse (size/style change of mind, etc.): Return shipping is borne by the customer. In some cases, a convenience/restocking fee may apply to cover handling/packaging (we will inform you before proceeding).

7) Refunds – Method & Timeline

  • Method: Refunds for prepaid orders are made to the original payment method through the same payment channel used at checkout (card/UPI/netbanking/wallet). Where not feasible, we may refund to bank account/UPI after verification.
  • Initiation: Within 2–4 business days after successful QC.
  • Posting to your account: Banks/card networks typically take 5–7 business days. UPI may post sooner. Timelines can vary by bank.
  • Partial refunds: If items are missing/damaged due to inadequate packing by customer or non-eligible items are returned, we may process a partial refund.

Note: Shipping fees, COD/convenience charges (if any), gift wrap, or promotional services are generally non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

8) Exchanges

  • Subject to stock availability and eligibility, we can exchange for a different size/variant of the same product.
  • If the desired variant is unavailable, we can process a refund as per Section 7.

9) Late or Missing Refunds

  1. Check your bank/UPI/wallet statement again.
  2. Contact your bank or card issuer. Processing times vary.
  3. If you’ve done the above and still have not received your refund, write to info@vastushastra.shop with your Order ID and refund reference.

11) Order Verification, Refusal & Other Exceptions

  • We may request ID/address verification for high-value or suspicious orders.
  • We may refuse returns that are used, damaged by the customer, missing accessories, or not in original packaging.
  • Bulk/commercial orders and corporate purchases may have different terms communicated during purchase.

12) Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version is effective when posted with the revised “Last updated” date above.
